This past Sunday, Capetonians and city visitors took advantage of the sunny weather to enjoy hours of shopping and entertainment from buskers, emerging artists and a children's play zone at My Cape Town Market Green Point. 

 

The City's Mayoral Member for Economic Growth, Alderman James Vos said this first event was a massive success. 

 

'The first My Cape Town Market Green Point brought together a wonderful mix of traders, selling everything from baked goods to flowers, homeware and clothing. And the live entertainment and kids’ play area gave it even more of a buzz. It’s exactly what I envisioned when I came up with the concept for this type of market, which we do to give entrepreneurs a perfect place to trade and to connect them with a new market of consumers,' said Alderman Vos.
